What evidence can you provide?

Both fields are optional. You can receive a useful next step without either.

Your sending domain (optional)

Used for a public DNS lookup if a live diagnostic service is configured. SPF can authenticate a different SMTP MAIL FROM identity than the visible From domain.

Include advanced authentication checks (optional; uses the configured DNS Worker)

DMARC policy discovery can use the visible From domain in the supplied headers. SPF needs the actual sending IP and SMTP MAIL FROM domain, which may be different from the visible From domain.

Only when advanced checks are requested, the entered MAIL FROM domain and IP are sent to the DNS Worker for SPF. The visible From domain may be sent for DMARC discovery. Raw headers remain in your browser.
